94. Walter Blake

Walter Blake had a grant of lands of Drum, County Galway, Ireland, by patent on 17 August 1677. Among the descendents of Walter were the Blakes of Drum, afterwards of Gortnamona, County Galway.

Of Menlo, Co. Galway, second Baronet. He was Mayor of Galway in 1637 and became M.P. for Galway Borough in June 1634 to 1635. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Blake, of Galway [I., 1622] on 2 January 1634. He lived at Menlough Castle, Menlough, County Galway, Ireland.
